SDG 5 Thrive! Founders

We are growing…

Five women founded SDG 5 Thrive!, and we will continue welcoming new members and growing internationally. Our first new member:

Hina Khurshid is a Master’s student at Central European University in Budapest, and also the organizer of the university’s annual TEDx conference. She is originally from Pakistan where she completed her undergraduate studies in Economics and Political science from Kinnaird College for Women with one semester aboard at Minnesota State University. After graduating she worked as a Parliamentary Intern with Democracy Reporting International in Pakistan; providing research and coordination support to the provincial Assembly of the Punjab.  During the course of her Master’s studies she has successfully completed an internship at United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) and a research fellowship under the Regional Academy on the United Nations. As a research fellow she, along with two other group members, successfully completed a research project on Electoral Reform in Haiti: Ensuring Increased Women’s Participation and Representation. Hina is an aspiring researcher and plans to work on issues of women empowerment.
