Anti-Trafficking Activities

RAISING AWARENESS

I lead development of an interactive digital showcase spotlighting people with lived experience and others working against modern slavery and human trafficking.

Impactful events are in scope. For example, I organized an exhibition, interactive installation, and forum in London: The SDGs and Human Trafficking: Lived Experience Leads. Prior to that, I led a televised World Day against Trafficking in Persons event in Vienna.

Creating public-access US television segments is also in scope. A sample is below:

Vienna 2025: At the UN with members of the African Survivor Coalition

BUILDING CAPACITY

As an international educator and virtual-learning expert, I have contributed to the creation of a variety of online tools, such as this course for the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe:  Capacity Building for Survivor Leaders of Trafficking in Human Beings.

I am also honored to mentor anti-trafficking projects including Footprint to Freedom and the African Survivor Coalition. This includes closely supporting the creation of the African Survivor Leadership Academy.

RECENT EVENT

In April 2025, I initiated and moderated a side event at the Alliance against Trafficking in Persons Conference in Vienna, Austria: Addressing the Intersections of Trauma on Child Trafficking (pdf). Below are brief excerpts from lived-experience leader Malaika Oringo and I. Click each box for the video.
